Jesus is the sacrament, the living sign of God's love for us. His saving death and resurrection is the source of our life as Christians. In the seven sacraments, that we celebrate as the Christian family, we encounter Christ at significant moments of our life. We encounter Jesus, source of new life - the new creation - both as individuals and as a community. In this sense of the Christian community, we see Christians gathered in love for God and each other. As the Church this community of love is sacrament as it is the place of encounter with Jesus Christ and by its energy of love it is a sign of love to people at large - it is a sacrament - it is communion.
