Our parish serves the town of Faversham and a number of villages from Teynham in the west to Boughton in the east, while to the south of the A2 there are a number of villages including Selling, Sheldwich and Throwley to name a few.
Faversham itself, which is an associate town of the Cinque Ports, has retained its mayor and council. Several members of the parish have been town councillors, including one who was mayor in the recent past. Other parishioners are active in the various villages, supporting community-building initiatives.
In Faversham parishioners are active in the Faversham Society that promotes interest in the town's history while others support the Faversham Club and its social activities.
While many parishioners work locally commuting is the order of the day for many which with the travel makes for a long working day.
