Carmel Hall

carmel hall dedication

The outgoing Mayor of Faversham, a parishioner, formerly opens Carmel Hall while
Bishop John Hine and his personal Master of Ceremonies, Lawrence Frost, O. Carm., look on.

In 2005 the refurbished Carmel Hall was formally blessed by the local area bishop, John Hine. It was dedicated as Carmel Hall by Antony Lester, Prior Provincial of the British Carmelites and formally opened by the then Mayor of Faversham, Cllr Cindy Davies, who is a member of the parish. It was her last full day as Mayor and she was delighted that her last formal engagement in that role was in her local parish.

The hall is being well used by the parish and regular groups:

Carmel Hall has toilets with one suitable for wheelchair access, as well as a refurbished kitchen.

The hall is appreciated by the many pilgrims who still come to the Shrine of St. Jude.

Groups are invited to make an appropriate donation for the use of the hall and as we have to comply with Council regulations regarding rubbish and waste disposal, to as much of their waste away with them.

If you would like to use Carmel Hall for a meeting or function, please contact the Parish Secretary.
